Manatee Mania ~ Writing Journal

Manatee Mania hit! We made manatees out of gray tube socks and stuffing. Some have whiskers on their faces, and some have algae growing on their backs. We wrote about them in our school journals, rested with them at rest time, and brought them home. Check out the new member of your family!

Writing journals also came home today. Half of the class will be a pen pal with Ms. Penney, and the other half will be a pen pal with Mrs. Korda. We will switch groups in May. This should be an optional, stress-free, pressure-free activity! Kindergarten spelling is expected. This is just a fun way to learn about each other and get some writing done in the process.
